You watch your favorite videos on YouTube almost every day; you search on Google for the best places to visit this summer; you buy a shirt on Amazon and get recommendations to buy matching trousers or glasses the next moment; you ask Siri to make phone calls for you; you translate from Japanese to English using Google Translate; you visit an electronics appliances website and come across a Chatbot asking "How can I help you!"; the list of applications is unlimited, just count the number of apps installed on your mobile phone. The one thing common among all such applications is that these are being driven somehow by AI to provide the best user experience.

Almost all the leading companies around the globe are transforming their business patterns and workflows by inducing AI. Though, the vast adoption of AI is raising productivity levels of the industries with an extreme user experience and customer service; it also leads to an unusually competitive environment among businesses and a sense of uncertainty among the working individuals. Let's try to understand why AI is the lifeline for the 21st century. 

AI for the businesses

It is almost impossible for a business to stay in the competition without taking advantage of the potential benefits of AI. The AI-driven business always has a competitive edge over the competitors by:

  • knowing the insights of real-time data for better and timely decision making
  • knowing the customers' interests closely, and providing them with the required items and personalized services
  • understanding the current trends to stay in line with the market demands 
  • forecasting the future needs to stay one step ahead of time

  • automating cyber security services to eliminate fraudulent and outlier activities
  • providing enhanced user experience and customer service

The more a business knows insights and reacts accordingly, the more will be the chances to survive and dominate. In the current era of abundant data and large-scale global businesses, AI is the only survivor with a huge potential for real-time insight analysis.

Individuals around the globe are concerned about their jobs or professional careers. It is a common threat among people that their jobs will be replaced by autonomous machines or AI robots, as AI is dramatically evolving at an enormous pace. In an orthodox viewpoint, they are right as most of the tedious, repetitive, and physically intensive tasks are being replaced by autonomous machines. However, they need to understand and realize that AI opened up a whole new world of skill sets and job opportunities. AI-driven businesses need trained professionals who can better interact with the huge collection of data and provide insight analysis to understand the business needs. 

According to the report published by World Economic Forum, there will be 97 million new job opportunities by the year 2025. AI specialized careers including Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Analysts, Cyber Security Specialist, Big Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer, etc. are the most demanding and highly paid jobs in the current professional market.
